The best thing that you can say about the short film Operator is that feels like a transcript of a true incident, a horror story about a person on a phone trying to help a stranger going through the worst, and possibly, the last moments of their lives.

And then in the end, when they hang up suddenly, their fate remains a mystery. Maybe she has saved their lives. Maybe she didn't do enough, maybe they are dead. All she can do is take a breath, calm down and move on to the next caller.
